wheel of wednesday books

Being away for the holidays has messed up my sense of days of the week, so I'm also catching up with last week's reading here.

Making Time: Lillian Moller Gilbreth, a Life Beyond "Cheaper by the Dozen", by Jane Lancaster. Finished this, continued to enjoy, I feel like there are essays and essays that could be said about what's in it, but will not be writing them now.

The Great Hunt and The Dragon Reborn (books 2 and 3 of The Wheel of Time), Robert Jordan. Continuing my Wheel of Time read (I enjoyed season 1 of the TV show); the last time I tried this series I got stuck maybe a bit over halfway through book 2, but have made it past that point now; the books definitely are improving so far, especially as I get past the most annoying bits of teenage boy POV. Verin is definitely my favorite character in the books; she is a total nerd and often comes off as spacey/absentminded, but also seems to know more than she lets on. I'm enjoying spending time with the girls (who are not always the smartest/wisest either, but still fun to be around) -- Elayne definitely strikes me as a descendant of Eilonwy.
