When I was a teenager and started my LJ, I used a headshot from his beter-known Lady With an Ermine, because my first fandom was Lloyd Alexander's Vesper Holly books, and I'd learned from another fan that that portrait had inspired the character of Vesper Holly as well as a Leonardo painting that features in the plot of one of the books. Then when I decided to reboot this journal on DW about 5 years ago, I decided to switch to this Leonardo.
