(My Wednesdays are getting busier, so there may be more reading Thursdays going forward.)

skygiants, I wanted something warm and fuzzy, and this worked. YA romance with a protagonist who has grown prematurely world-weary by reading too many nineteenth-century novels. It's a charming twist on the Northanger Abbey premise with lots of literary references. Would send back in time to my fifteen-year-old self.
A Memory Called Empire by Arkady Martine: this has been on my to-read list for a year, it only took winning a Hugo to get me to read it :-D But it's good so far, and I'm looking forward to finding out what plot twists are in store. Feels like an Ann Leckie, but I find the prose more engaging, I think.
