The Glass Magician by Caroline Stevermer: I was hoping this book would have more plot/worldbuilding twists than it did; though it's clearly setting itself up for sequels, so maybe those will have them?

The Wolf and the Girl by Aster Glenn Gray ([personal profile] osprey_archer). A charming fairy-tale riffing off both Little Red Riding Hood and Russian folklore, set in 1910s Russia and France. Satisfying, bittersweet, and carries its emotional weight.

Foundryside by Robert Jackson Bennett. Rereading in preparation for the sequel. Haven't gotten very far in, but the worldbuilding is good at creating a fantasy setting that feels very modern in some aspects, and grounded. Exciting action scenes, too. High up on my "someone should adapt this for TV" list.
