wednesday book heist
2 June 2021 22:47A Memory Called Empire, Arkady Martine. Finished this in less of a rush than I read the first half. Still very good.
Six of Crows, Leigh Bardugo. I tried reading this before watching the Shadow and Bone TV series, but the first couple chapters didn't grab me. Easier to get into after getting to know the characters from the TV show. Entertaining heist.
Crooked Kingdom, Leigh Bardugo. Sequel to Six of Crows. Still fun banter and criminal hijinks. Not sure how much I buy into various aspects of the overall worldbuilding. People in this book are actually noticing for once that our protags are teenagers -- though I'm still not entirely sure that they feel like them.
