The Tyrant Baru Cormorant, Seth Dickinson. Baru doing better than before but still not close to being a tyrant -- clearly going for the "fail early and fail often" strategy. Am now into the plague section of the book :-/
Macbeth, Shakespeare: first time I've read this since I was in it at age 13, I think (I'm not counting following the goodticklebrain webcomic version and occasionally looking up quotes). So there were bits of it that felt like blasts from the past. Not sure I have that much else to say about it. I think we decided that Macbeth and Hamlet should get together and gang up on Norway.
