(...hopefully not in the long term, but we'll see)

Les Fiancés De L'Hiver, Christelle Dabos.  The pace definitely picked up towards the end!  And there are tons of loose ends, because the book ended with the protagonist coming of age, growing into herself and her new role, figuring out some of the ways that she's been manipulated, and deciding she was ready to start seriously protagging, which I'm looking forward to her doing more of in the second book.

Empress of Forever, Max Gladstone.  Not sure I like this quite as much as the Craft sequence, but I'm not very far in.  It starts out as near-future SF (not sure exactly when, I think 2040, A thinks 2020s), but then our protagonist gets catapulted into the far future (as one does), and now it's space opera with some entertaining action scenes and some interesting character interactions.  Not sure where it's going, though I have some wild theories, and I'm hoping for some satisfying twists).

Ahh, I keep meaning to read Les Fiancés De L'Hiver! Both to keep up with my French now that I'm no longer taking actual classes in it, and because it sounds delightful.
