A Memory Called Empire, Arkady Martine. That was a fun read, and on the whole turned out more uplifting than expected, given the dystopian aspects of the world hinted at. (But then, probably on the whole not any more dystopian than our world.)

Coriolanus, William Shakespeare. Part of a group read (I've been part of a weekly Shakespeare reading on Discord for a while, but have just now decided to start writing them up here.) A Shakespeare I hadn't read before! That was fun, though the ending was a bit abrupt. Also very gay, as advertised. And Coriolanus is totally a dragon. (Also neuroatypical.)

And while I'm at it, I'm also going to start blogging movie adaptations I wash.

Jane Eyre (1983 TV series). Gets points for being faithful to the book (I think the only version I've seen with the fortune-teller scene). This version of Mr. Rochester: DEFINITELY THE SKETCHIEST. It keeps all the sketchiness of book Rochester, plays up all his alpha-male aspects, plus extra body language not in the book. But really I'm here for Jane, and her determination to maintain her self-respect and be true to herself. This Jane was pretty good, if a bit subdued.
