The Tyrant Baru Cormorant, Seth Dickinson. Not that far into it, so far Baru in sort of a mess, and doesn't seem that close to being a Tyrant. (Also has been taking too many mind-altering substances.) But I have faith in the title that she will pull together somehow! Have met the pure mathematician character, there's a pi reference.

Love's Labor's Lost Am going to keep logging Shakespeare plays to make up for not reading as much. I'd only been exposed to this before through the Kenneth Branagh version, so there was a lot of text of this I wasn't familiar with. Not the best Shakespeare, but fun. Definitely the Shakespeare play for COVID times, lots of social distancing and masking. Actually the moral of the story is "if you make an oath to only get 3 hours of sleep a night, you are going to be really incompetent at courtship". My usual complaint with Shakespeare comedies is that the women have really low standards for their male love interests, so I find the ending here satisfying.

The commoners get a rough deal, though, with the nobles making fun of their pageant. At least Pyramus and Thisbe is inherently funny. Here I was curious how they were going to portray Judas Maccabeus, but the audience wouldn't let the guy get past "Judas I am" before interrupting.
