I don't have much to say about my reading this week. On the other hand, I recently discovered the historical figure Louise Pound, early 20th century linguist and folklorist, who feels like she would fit right in with the dreamwidth crowd aesthetic. I would gladly read more about her if anyone has recs! (She gave her name to a dorm at the University of Nebraska -- which features in Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell. I stayed in it, or in its neighbor dorm Cather Hall -- Willa Cather was a schoolfriend of Pound's and had a crush on her -- for a few summers as a teenager, and though I remember seeing a large portrait of her on the wall, I had no idea who she was.)
Crooked Kingdom, Leigh Bardugo. Finished this, it was fun but I wasn't super invested in it.
The Nine Tailors, Dorothy Sayers. Rereading this yet again -- was a good way to get back in the mood for bells. People at Saturday bells practice mentioned not having finished the book because they got stuck in the point in the middle where the plot slows down, and I think I'm there right now. (The bells content is pretty front-loaded.)
